What an unforgettable weekend for Protech Track Club at the Tigard Youth Track Meet!

This meet was packed with personal bests, first-time competitors, breakthrough performances, and huge moments that showed just how much our athletes are growing. Every athlete stepped onto the track or field with courage, determination, and heart, and we are beyond proud of this team.

A special shoutout goes to Henry Evenson, Rowan Murray and Paige Evans, who competed in their VERY FIRST track meet ever! Stepping into your first competition takes bravery, and they all represented Protech with incredible effort and positivity. We cannot wait to watch them continue to grow this season.

🔥 BIG PERFORMANCES & TOP 8 FINISHES 🔥
🏅 Kobe Edwards had an amazing meet:
- 3rd Place in Long Jump with a jump of 11’11” in his FIRST EVER long jump competition
- 8th Place in the 200m
-PR in the 100m
An incredible performance and awesome willingness to try something new!

🏅 Quentin Hastings had an absolutely incredible meet:
- 2nd Place in the 1500m with a huge PR of 5:11.83
- 2nd Place in High Jump clearing 4’2”
- 3rd Place in the 800m with another PR of 2:38.19
Quentin showed toughness, consistency, and versatility all weekend long!

🏅 Tyus Evans delivered an outstanding performance in the field events:
- 4th Place in Javelin with a throw of 78’10”
- 7th Place in Long Jump with a PR leap of 10’0.75”
- PR in the 100m
Tyus continues to improve every week and competed with confidence all weekend long!

🏅 Zander Hastings had a strong all-around meet:
- 6th Place in the 800m with a PR of 3:10.49
- 7th Place in High Jump
- 8th Place in the 1500m with another PR

🏅 Tennyson Rhoads battled hard in the distance events:
- 6th Place in the 800m with a PR of 3:03.85
- 6th Place in the 1500m with another PR of 6:15.81

🏅 Hayden Vynanek earned a
- Competed in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and High Jump
- Earned a Top 8 finish in High Jump with a PR clearance of 3’8”
- Battled through an extremely tough schedule with 3 of his 4 events happening back-to-back-to-back

Atticus Hastings
- Competed in FOUR events
- PR in the 400mPR in Javelin
- Showed incredible effort all day long being our youngest athlete

Henry Evenson
- Competed in the 100m, Javelin, and Long Jump in his track debut
- Represented Protech with a great attitude and determination

Rowan Murray
- Competed in the 100m and Javelin in his very first meet
- Stepped up fearlessly and gained valuable experience

Joshua Ray
- PR in the 400m
- Competed hard in the sprints and middle distance events

Paige Evans
- Competed in Javelin and Long Jump in her first-ever meet
- Showed amazing courage and effort stepping into competition for the first time
- Was the BEST team manager all weekend, making sure everyone was checked in and received their ribbons!

This weekend was about more than medals and placements. It was about growth. Confidence. Teamwork. Learning to compete. Learning to push through nerves. Learning to believe in yourself.

Every athlete contributed to an amazing weekend for Protech Track Club, and the improvement we are seeing week after week is incredible. The future is bright for this group!
